Raspberry Pi can be connected
or accessed from windows PC using numerous ways. But, the technic which I’m
discussing is pretty easy for newbies.
By this method we can directly connect raspberry pi without using any
additional hardware like router. We just want DHCP software which is free and
easily available. Link to download is given below.
Step 1 – Download latest
version of DHCP server for windows from here.
Step 2 – Assign static IP
address for ethernet as below.
Network and Sharing Center
> Change adapter settings > Ethernet > Properties.
Step 3 - Unzip the downloaded
file dhcpsrv2.4.4.zip
Step 4 - Run the setup
wizard dhcpwiz.exe and click on Next
Step 5– Click Refresh and check
whether the Ethernet with the IP assigned earlier is listed. Select the network
and click Next
Step 6 – Leave all vales as default.
Step 7 – Check whether the
path of INI file is same as the location of the dhcpsrv.exe. Click
on Write INI file and then Next.
Step 8 – Click on Admin button to enable administrator
privileges
Step 9 – click on Configure firewall button.
Step 10 – Click on Exit to return to
configuration page.
Step 11 - Select the check
box Run DHCP server immediately and click Finish.
Step 12 – Click on Continue as tray app.
This will shown in tray icons
Connect Raspberry Pi to
computers ethernet port and power it on.
This IP address can be used
to access the Pi through SSH or using Remote Desktop.
